Default Ms4/stg 1 Heads Install

I did the install started it up last night and I am getting a lopey spitting sound on the drivers side?? We all think its the header gasket leaking from the rear 2 ports. Just getting second oppinions here, when it gets rpms it quits, only does it when idle. drove the car for about 3 hrs today off and on no probs but this sound at idle. Throw your .02 in it will help my worrying hahaha

Probably just an exhaust leak, what header gaskets are you using? Has the car been tuned yet?

not tune yet and im using copper gaskets that came with pacesetter hedders, gaskets are brand new but they look like the crush type and u can see a very ity bity small gap in the gasket where it didnt crush down

Just a question, Did you get the gasket the right way? I got the same headers and gaskets and i almost put them on the wrong way. That would create a seal problem. And it took a while to get all the leaks on mine fixed, tightened where it leaked every time, but now its good.

Might want to try the Percy's gaskets. Sometimes aftermarket headers don't mate up super nice to aftermarket heads, but I've seen Percy's do the trick when GM MLS didn't.
