Default installing Comp R lifters ???

Is there any special instructions for these lifters or are they just drop in and go? I plan on soaking them in oil, is this all that I need to do? Any tips or suggestions?

Thanks,
Matt

Soak them in oil, put them in just like the stock ones would go in.

Slowverado:

They are about $200 from most sponsers. One of my stock lifters collapsed after a few hundered miles with my H/C setup so I'm replacing all the lifters. One of the Thunder guys told me they are more heavy duty than stock or stock replacements. They are only $10 more than OE replacements, so I figured what the hell.

gottcha, so they're basically like a double chain, not totally nessecary but cheap insurance. i might have to look into this when i start putting the 6.0 back together. they'll go well with the yella terra rockers i just ordered.

Comp "R" lifters like less preload. Advantages of using these lifters, is higher quality, and added strength.

Do these require a different length pushrod? I just installed a set of these, with a cam thats .030" smaller base circle, and the heads are milled .030".

They don't require a different length pushrod. They are the same dimensions as the stock lifters.

I just pushed them into the plastic lifter holders and inserted them back into the block - four at a time!...easy...

...make sure everything is extremely clean before installing them, however! ..i used paper towels and some compressed air...
