Anyone have any experience with this cam?
If so please post thoughts, hp&tq numbers, track times, etc.

So is Lunati the maker of TR's cams?

Lets just say that I highly doubt a small organiztion like Thunder Racing has the research and development hours of funds to do there own. They probably have one of the big big Manufacterors grind them with little changes. The one thing I did notice about the TR cams is the fast ramps which prevents you from running 1.8 rockers.

Umm, no it's not the same thing, not even close. BTW, we go through this about once a month...just because 2 cams have the same lift and duration @ .050" of lift does not mean they are the same or even close. There are several cam lobes for the LS1 out there that have similar lift and .050" duration specs that are very different in their characteristics.

Also, we have never publicly stated who cuts our cams for us. Rest assured the lobes are proprietary to us and aren't readily available in any 'big name' cam companies catalog.

That's right, I agree . . . I was just wondering if anyone had found out which manufacture makes them. Yeah they have fast ramps but so does MTI and Comp with their xe-r lobes. I'm sure Thunder, MTI, and SLP all have their cams made by other companies. I'm not putting them down for it, but it would be interesting to know who really makes them. I believe SLP said they had even changed vendors at one point.

Fellas, we are veering off track here. I was only wondering if any of you had this cam or knew someone who did. Not trying to get any wars started here.

SOrry, I was trying to point you in a direction for some info. My assumption it was the same thing was off base.

Apologies to TR too. I purchased from TR yesterday.

Chris
