Default SOMEBODY PLEASE HELP!!!!!!!!!!!

i FINALLY GOT TO THE TRACK fRI. SINCE THE CAR IS DONE.
Last time I was there I had: loudmouth, lid, ASP pulley and wen't 13.0 @109+ all night.

Now, with mods in sig. I had a hard time getting in the 12's which my 60' sucked, but anyway, I was only traping 113!!!!!!!!!!!!

Wheather wasn't bad, a buddy of mine was running good.

I was going through the traps at the top of 3rd!!!!
I do have the 3.42 yet, but something is not right.

Cartek tuned it to the numbers in sig.
When shifting hard there is a bang under the car. Maybe pulling timing, but that can't be it. It's down 4-7 mph at least.
The first run however did seem to have the power. I hit 2nd and went sideways for about 30ft. I needed 4th but missed and ended up just throwing it in 5th to coast through. Ran 13.7 @108

I'm lost!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Sounds like you may have a broken tranny mount. Get under the car and use a pry bay and try to lift the tranny...if it lifts you have a broken mount. New ones are cheap and easy to fix.

Did you check the tranny mount? It could be either loose or broken. I completely ripped my stock tranny mount when I had my M6 in the car with only 5000 miles. The engine torque from the heads and cam just ripped the rubber. I replaced it with an Energy Suspension Poly Mount, fixed it right up. I am using the same mount with my TH400 and Yank x-member to this day. Poly mounts are some tuff stuff.

Also check your torque arm mount at the tranny. When you shift gears the weight of the moves to the front as you clutch then to back as you shift and accellerate again. The torque arm plays a big role in the transfer of torque to the ground, it could be causing something to bang on underneath if loose. Any loss of energy or traction in the car will hurt your ET or MPH. If it was just banging I would think it was just your y-pipe, but you are having traction issues. I would just recheck all the torque setting on your suspension parts and inspect your mounts.

Good luck dude.

I would say either the tranny mount or the Y-Pipe banging around...I know a few people that get banging under hard acceleration from the Y-pipe..and I know I get it myself with my 6spd.....

Asked and answered, the stock tranny mount isn't designed to take that much power... mine ripped in 1/2 right after I did heads and cam back in 2000.

As far as the performance goes, sounds like you need more seat time.

I know the y-pipe could be banging. The torque arm is G2, could be it to. But, 5-7 mph down on trap speed is not from a couple of degrees of KR if the PCM is picking up on it.

What I'm worried about is when Cartek tuned it, they didn't do everything they promised. So I hope the dyno numbers at least are real.

By the way, will the broken tranny mount cause a loss of power?

thanx guys
this is EXTREMELY frustrating. All the money in this thing and it only goes through the traps at bolt-on speed!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
