Default Broken Head Bolt HELP

I broke the number 15 head bolt. I was using ARP bolts. I've tried using an extractor, and and it still doesn't budge. What other things have yall tried in the past that have worked.
Thanks,
Rick

I would remove that head, maybe it snapped off high enough so you can get a pair of vice grips on it. If you already have the head off, and its broken flush with the deck, you could try JB Welding another bolt to it, letting it dry overnight, and seeing if it will turn then... Did you crossthread it? ..... Otherwise... you may need to drill out the bolt (extremely hard to do with hardened ARP bolts)....

How in the hell do you break an ARP bolt???? I mean especially w/just putting 22ft lbs on those bolts? When I was doing my head studs my "helper" told me that he broke one, and I told him there was no way he could have broke it. All it was was stripped...but anyways, RT is right you may have to drill it out, if that is what you have to do I would go buy a titanium bit, a regular drill bit might not cut it...

Broke an ARP stud a few weeks ago. Got it out with an easy out. Mostly depends on how deep it is. This is the small one on top?

yes it is the small one up top...

I called ARP PISSED off about it...they want both halfs of the bolt to test it..if it proves to be their fault then they are gonan reimburse me for it...I just can;t believe it broke being from ARP and all...i have tried everything it seems like and I am running out of ideas...

malibu350,
I was the guy who bought the Hooker catback from your dad Jim....I showed him the bolt...he was real cool and REALLY hooked me up on the catback sale...he drove personally from San Antonio to my house in College Station (2.5-3 hour drive) to deliver it to me for $300 bucks and a 6 pack of Coors ...Good luck with your new business!

and if any of you have any more ideas bring em this way!
thanks,
Rick

If you have access to a MIG welder you can weld a nut or another bolt onto it and get it out pretty easy (take the head off first.) If you drill it out, you will probably ruin the threads.

Well I'm sure my dad told you then that he stripped one out my car, and we had to drill and heli coil it...so far so good...unfortunately I didn't get to run her too much before I had to leave...but those top bolts don't do too much anyways....is there any part of the bolt still sticking up??? Sometimes you can get a pair of vice grips on them..and turn em out that way...But if you said ARP was going to check it out, maybe they'll pay for the repairs too....but whatever happens good luck!!!

What kinda extractor did you use?

I've have good sucess with the "power" easy outs...the ones you put in a drill.
