Default n2o and stock crank

how much can a stock crank take?

say 650hp on motor then what would be the max shot size would you run..pistons and rods forged.

this would be a fogger and a good safe tune in it.

200,300 or 400 shot total?

Stock crank has been proven past 900hp, many times.

The stock crank is tough, no doubt, but I'd get a little worried above 700rwhp. If I'm planning on making that much power, $1700 for a forged crank and some peace of mind is worth it to me.
I'm also not sure I'd hit my forged 383 with much more than a 200shot, but I'm a sissy like that. Good luck!

I would buy a new crank. Do you really want to blow it up because you went cheap with a factory crank?

Id say your going to be completely fine with that crank. Im hitting my car with a 200 shot and im using stock rods and crank..id say no more than a 250 shot if you want it to live but it will take more..just not reliably.

Its not the crank you need to worry about , its the main cap bolts , rod bolts and lifting the heads .

ARP fastners through out the motor with forged rods , pistons and head studs .

200-250 shot is easy .

300 shot will start lifting the heads on an aluminum block after a few passes .

going to use a lq4 block, stock crank, carrillo rods and diamond pistons.

arp stuff will be in the block,i should be fine i think..looks like they snap around 1100 or 1200 so 900hp i should be good crank will be a new factory peice.

this is going to be a grudge car so it wont see alot of miles.

11.8:1 and a 300 is what im running on an LQ9 , AFR 225"s 238/242 , Calies crank , lunati billet rods and diamond nitrous pistons .

It should go 9.6-9.8 easy .
