So 370 RWHP at 5500 RPM with 243 would be on target for no tune you think?

We are going to install the 241s & see what happens. I was thinking that the car should have done pretty close to 400 RWHP with no tune with Ported 243 LS6 heads.

Does a Tune really pick up 50 RWHP?

yeah, think about it, you are adding a huge amount more air to the engine without making any change to the fuel mapping. Im suprised he isnt throwing codes and running ***** rich. I would get it tuned before you went swapping out any heads.

So you go from stock heads and intake to a ported 243 head and 90mm setup and don't think you need a tune. Your shitting me right. Slap your friend for all of us.

kinda shady dyno to, with the only revving to 5500, since stock redline is higher than that

I just don't understand why the base numbers where so low. They never really played with the tune. They took the car up to 5500 RPMS & shut it down.

So had they taken the Vinticator cam up to the intended 6500 RPMS & tuned the car. 420 RWHP was in pretty good reach & we are overreacting at this point I take it.

Well since a 90mm setup changes a tune quite a bit, add in the heads and yes alot is on the table. Tune it and run it up to 7k. Then get back to us.

Considering the Valve Springs are new. Run the car to 7Grand on the 1-2 shift & 2-3 shift. Just worried if the springs will take those RPMS

????????????? Why would you run it up to rpms between shifts? You dyno in 3rd gear for a auto and 4th for a M6. If the springs are matched to the cam they can take it just fine.

So.. if I put in a new cam, new intake, and new heads..

I'm going to make less power without tuning for the new combo AND only spinning the motor 1000 rpm's under peak power?

Your shitting me right?

doesn't make sense for the tuner to only go to 5500rpm and shut it down unless it had maybe some valve float issues or something else maybe? something doesn't seem right?

There is a head sticky. The 853's and 241's flow the same. The 243's are better. It really doesnt matter after they are ported anyway. There is nothing wrong with a set of ported 241 or 853 heads done correctly. There are a lot of good ported LS1 castings being used on many cars that make great power.
