Default Who is faster...

With the same cam (around a 228/236 or 230 reverse split)... what heads will go faster in the 1/4"... Absolute Speed stage 2 5.3's or TEA stage 2 5.3's?

Which do you guys think will make more power?

Sorry if it is a vague question... but with TEA's recent prive drop they are now where Absolute is at.

Which will be a better choice?

In general, a head is a head is a head, were all stuck at 278-280 cfm's through the Z06 intake manifold so compression, cubes and cam size is the only variable.

Just wasn't sure...thanks for clearing that up.

In your guys' opinion (or what you know as fact)... hand porting or CNC? Which is better... I am getting mixed signals from different shops.

Please help clarify/pick a set of heads to go with for less than $2000

IMHO CNC porting w/a final touch up by hand is better... a computer will do the same thing everytime so if joe schmoe bought some heads 2 weeks ago and performed well, odds are your heads will perform the same (granted if a CNC machine isn't maintained it will have problems, but from what I've seen of TEA they're a top notch shop and take pride in their heads)

When I bought my TEA heads I felt more comfortable buying a set of heads that lots of others bought knowing my heads would be almost exactly the same

Id say TEA, but both are very good. Everyone will have an opinion on this question so go with what u feel is best. This question is like asking which is better Ford or Chevy? lol. Go with which ever one is cheaper...

If I can get the Absolute Speed stage 2 heads for 1699.99 with dual springs... and free porting of my throttle body... or TEA for 1659.99 (stage 1.5's is what he recommended) with dual vavlesprings also... what would you guys do?

$40 buck cheaper for TEA... but the throttle body porting with Absolute.
