That is pretty bad. Makes me want to pull the heads this winter and replace my lifters with the Caddy ones.

whats really frustrating is that i already had everything to swap my lifters sitting in my room for a month, but was holding out for some 243s

sorry for your luck man. besides bad noise did you experience any power issues--surging/missing?? i've always been paranoid about my valvetrain noise but have been assured it was just valves/springs/rockers. and i haven't ever experienced any missing or lack of power on dyno or seat of pants. i'll be replacing lifters whenever i get to pulling my heads--which i hope doesn't come sooner rather than later from this concern.

i didn't notice anything really till i started it up one afternoon and had a loud tick. i drove it a bit hoping it would go away, but it didn't. also had low oil pressue when it started ticking loud, like 20psi at idle. got home and started breakin down the engine. i think it was a cam issue, not a lifter issue that caused it tho.

prior to this i had no engine problems that i could tell

What was this spring from? I found one just like it in my lifter tray when I pulled my heads this week. I thought it was just off of one of the valve seals. Is that what this is or is it part of the lifter?

looks like my camshaft ate up the lifter. some of the other lobes and lifters had some damage on them.

its a futral F13 camshaft with 25k on it. does anybody know the batch number of the bad f13s a couple years ago?
I was thinking this must be one of those old F13s that had the problem quite a few months ago and blamo!

yeah, i figured i was ok since it made it 25k, but i guess not. goin to call Futral tomorrow if i get the chance. don't want another camshaft right now tho until i get my 6.0/L92 setup built, and dunno when that will be.
