Question Help me ID this Heads ???

I got this from a friend but he didn't remember anything about them other than they were ported #806 and they were O-Ringed
I want to put this on a 2000 SS and I already bought a set of Patriot Gold Springs w/ TI retainers, Chromemolly 7.400" pushrods and I"m planning to use stock rockers and valves...
My cam is a 232/232 .598 .598 112 LSA.
Please help me find out what kind of work this heads had and what should I do before ensamble them and put them in my car... how can I messure the Compresion ??? etc...
Thanks in advance for your help !!!

To measure the chamber size for compression calculations you will probably want to take them to a machine shop and have them measure the size with a beaurate(sp?). I have measured chamber size myself at home though using a syringe.

They do looked to have been worked over and the W2W on the side would indicate that wheel to wheel did work on them.

you realize to use these you have to get new valve covers and brackets for the coils right?

Oh, they take different gaskets too because these are 97-98 heads.

Those are perimeter bolt heads for the valve covers, and you have centerbolt valve covers as metioned. These are from a 97 or 98 Ls1.

Got any pics of the intake runners? Maybe you could try to identify them by that using the website below...

Those heads have a massive amount of material removed from the intake bowl area, and the o-ring grooves are for boosted or heavy nitrous use. Those huge ports are gonna stall out and kill the bottom end power on a stock cube normally aspirated engine. The intake valve is also very large and may not clear the bore on a stock engine. I wouldn't use them.

Take some pics of the runners for us. I just want to see what they look like.

Take the heads to a machine shop and have them flow them for you. You can measure the chambers and runners with a buret.
