Vengence VRX3 Cam, no fly cutting required.

226/228 .58X/.58X @ a 112 or 114 (i would do 112).

Ron has been quoted, stating it would make over 400 to the tire with proper supporting mods such as intake, exhaust (header and cat back), U.D pulley, tb/intake (will help) and dyno tune.

400rwhp with stock heads...you'll have to step up a bit above what is generally considered a "mild cam".

not by much.

the 375-390rwhp range is acheivable with cams like the 224, 228 or the X1.

and realize no single cam produces the same power in every car. you'll see guys on here dyno 390rwhp with the 224 cam....while guys with a 23x cam only make 400rwhp. there are always freaks and always slackers.

but in order to get a honest 400rwhp you'll probably need to to step up to something in the relm of the Torquer 2, F13 or the other low 23x cams.

if you want a tamer cam...you'll need to step up the heads....or throw on a FAST intake.
i think TR sells the FAST and tb for about $1100...which would gain you a solid 20hp on a mild cam setup. so those cams that put down 380rwhp cam only....would be right at your 400rwhp goal with the intake.

speed takes money....how fast do you want to go?

Thanks for all the input guys, I reallt cant afford heads or the fast as of yet, but I do pretty much have all the other supporting mods other than heads and fast. I do not neccessarily need to make 400 I would like to be around the 380-400 mark but numbers are not all that important to m. I just want a cam that will perform well on the street a good all rpm range cam.

You'll love the TR230. It is badass in my opinion. Car pulls like a monster from any speed.

I went with the Torquer v3 I have not had it on the dyno yet, I only got the mail order tune until I can pay for a dyno tune. My car seems to run like a raped ape I'm not sure if I'm at 400rwhp but I'm sure it is close. I killed 3-4 C5 ZO6s with out a problem at all, so I'm sure I'm close to 400rwhp

make sure to get the supporting mods before you get your cam, 4.11 gears, and say goodbye to your old clutch

Good Ol' Faithful, that cam is a dinosaur tech wise but a pretty stout performer. I used it way back on my 99TA and with milled/handported heads, and 1.85 rockers, I was able to get 400 rwhp (398 to be exact).
