Yella Terras are installed and nothing has gone boom... yet
Just tossed em on today, and at first they were a lot noisier than the stockers were, but after a bit they quieted down. From inside the car I can tell there is a slight reduction in valvetrain noise, but nothing dramatic. Still sounds like a singer sewing machine....albeit a quieter one
Fired it up and no unusual noise or sound. On the freeway I did some hi rpm testing to make sure things were on the up and up. Gradually brought it up to 7000rpms in incriments starting at 4000rpms with a few WOT runs. No problems yet, and no unusual sounds coming from the valves hitting the pistons. Hopefully all is well, and I have just enough clearance to be safe.
No SOTP difference although the car seem to rev a bit quicker...comparable to the difference between a stock and aluminum flywheel, although a bit less noticeable.
These things were a lot lighter than the stock ones. About 30% lighter if I recall correctly. Hopefully with these being lighter and having less friction there's less of a chance of floating a valve, which will reduce my valves' chances of kissing my pistons.
P/V clearance was .085 before the install....and so far so good, although I haven't tested P/V after the install.

I wouldn't be too concerned with your PV clearance. I'm running .070 PV clearance on the intake and haven't started making any funny noises yet
My last motor had PV issues (flycuts in the wrong place so I only had .020 PV clearance) some of the valves never hit and some touched just enough to barely tweak the valve All is good now

Verbs: when you gonna re dyno and see if they helped any. I know its gonna be hard to tell cause they arent back to back dynos, but still you may get a little idea. 6-8hp isnt gonna be noticeable anyway by seat of pants. I have them on my to-do-list later

I'll keep everyone posted though.
