what heads came on a 97 vette, and a 99 TA?

Question what heads came on a 97 vette, and a 99 TA?

my car is a 99 TA... and I have a set of spare heads that came off a 97 vette somewhere in my garage... gotta hunt em down

any difference? gains? casting numbers the same?

The 97 vette heads will have perimeter bolts holding the valve covers on versus the center bolts on the 99 heads. 97-98 LS1's have perimeter bolts and 99-up have center bolts. There is no difference in corvette and fbody heads, they are all the same(unless it's a Z06). There is a thread in the stickies somewhere on this site w/ all of the casting numbers.

I want to say the 97 vette heads are casting number 806 & the 99 TA are 853.
