With the patriot valve springs you have to use super 7 locks. They dwarf the stock ones, deff about double the size.

wow i didnt even kno certain springs used certain types of locks. that must suck if u need those special kind, and run out while installing. freakin locks can fall in the bermuta k-member pretty easily.

Dab of grease for the success. Makes it so much easier to get them on the valve and stay there.

FWIW I have Patriot Extreme Golds, and I was told I definitely needed the Super 7s, from Gunnar himself.

You agree as in USING super 7's or HAVING to USE super 7's? Why have I read that ppl have been using stock locks just fine on these?

Yes there are no if ands or buts about it. You have to use super 7 locks with the Patriot Dual Golds!

I dont know where some people are getting this info, but you HAVE to use the supplied locks with Patriot Dual Golds. They are at LEAST double the size of stock...

The locks are more dependant on the retainers that are being used rather than the springs.

I also agree with lastcall190 in that a gab of grease will help out a lot with installing the locks so they stay put!

Once again someone goes through the time and effort to install high quality dual springs, and uses STOCK LOCKS

Use PP super 7's which were designed for that application and sleep well at night!
Gunnar should be able to help you out NO problem!
Good luck!
Erik
