Heads with MS3?
What would be the best heads to go with the MS3? I want something to hit about 450rwhp. Would 5.3's to bump up my compression be best or get a really free flowing head? Would a stage 1.0 LS6 head be worth saving few $$$ between the stage 2.5 or even the 3.0? Thanx in advance.

The 2.5s are proven with the MS3 and the compression will be around 10.7:1. You might also want to check the PTV clearance if you go with gaskets thinner than the stockers

The 2.5's are seeming to be the best option right now. I'm planning on flycutting when I go with a set of heads. The few minutes of my time is better than the hours that it would take to fix the things that I f**k up. Does anybody have any hp numbers or ET's with a similiar setup as my mods listed?

With heads on the car you'll be in the mid to high 11s. If you don't have 4.11s already you might want to look into getting a set because that set-up loves the upper RPMs.
Trust me I know

I just got a set of Motive 4:10's in the other day to put in it. I don't plan on going any bigger than the 346 for right now I just want a set of heads that will compliment my cam the best and yeild some impressive ET and HP numbers. There was a friend of mine that kept pushing me into a set of LS6's, but I wasn't for sure so I turn to you guys. If the 5.3's go that well with the MS3 than that may be the way I go.

How much would it hurt to use a set of 3.73 gears on this head/cam package with an A4? And, how much would the 3.55 gear hurt it?
If a 3.73 or 3.55 were to be used, would a better cam be the Torquer 2 from TSP? I'm just asking because the 5.3 2.5 heads with the MS3 are what I want to run in my project car (66 Nova). Its gonna be a show quality car, that will hit a lot of cruises/shows/weekend trips, and still hit the backroads for some pounding. I want it fast and mean, but I don't want to sacrifice too much on the cruisin speed, so I'd like to stay no steeper than a 3.73. Would the Torquer 2 be a better fit for this application.
Sorry for the ..... but since this thread had some good answers and started to mention gear ratios, I thought I'd ask about the 3.73s and 3.55s.
Thanks

IMO I don't see where there is too much of a difference between the the two cams, a few degrees of duration a small difference in lift. You really couldn't go wrong with either. As far as the 3.73's go, that is pretty much the favored gear for the A4, there are plenty of people that run big cams with that gear. Once again IMO get the MS3 and a set of 3.73's and run with that. Alot of people say that between the stock gear and 3.73's they really don't feel much difference, so the 3.55's would be worthless.

OK let me get this straight. The difference between the Stage 1 and Stage 2.5 TSP PRC LS6 heads are the valve sizes correct? meaning stage 1's have the 2.00/1.55 valves and the stage 2.5's have the 2.02/1.57 valves correct? Would that mean the compression of the two heads with identical stock GM headgaskets being used make the compression 10.7:1 on the same motor?

2500RPM / .70 od = 3571 shaft speed /4.11 gears = 869RPM axle speed wheel movement 28" times 3.14 is 7.33 feet and that times the axle speed of 869=6,370 feet per minute/5280=1.223*60min=73.38mph
the new f body uses a 26"wheel I think which would put you around 67mph

Yeah, I'll end up with a 26 inch tire. Thanks for the input guys.
And, if anyone is interested, I made up a pretty cool Excel spreadsheet that you can enter your wheel/tire size into, along with the MPH you want to check for RPMs. It gives you RPMS for that speed for many automatic transmissions with every size rear end gear.
If anyone is interested in a copy, just PM me your email address and I can send it to you.
Here's a sample;
