Doesn't look good to me.. Can't really see what the internal part is.. a thread bold or something?

do you have the chipped part.. if so.. maybe have welded back on to repair.. but I'd junk the block if it was me.. knowing that it touched some internal parts.. I would expect it to be critical that it be strong and precise on it machining.

no its the bottom of the bolt hole when u look in theres no internal parts just the bolt sits there its the threads in the block where the bolt goes where you see it

If it is common , most people probably haven't noticed it because of the location. Now everyone is going to be checking thier blocks :-)

That looks like the bottom end of a head bolt hole. Was it was put together with some crap in the holes.

No! That's the funny part, motor never had been taken apart, he was the only one to take the heads off...and that kind of damage wouldn't happen from just removing a head.....so i'm confused.

If that is a head bolt thread, I would be concerned about the clamping load of that bolt. If you are going to JB weld it - I'd use studs and then JB it after the stud was in. Might not matter, just what I'd do for insurance...

That's what I did with my ARP studs.

What likely happened is fluid (coolant, oil, etc) manages to get down in the hole and if they dont get blown out with compressed air before reassembly..POP..the hydraulic pressure cracks the block. There are many instances of this.

There was no assembly.....It was a stock motor pulled from the car, and the heads were removed....nothing put on.

Ok. Now that is weird..though I suppose that could happen at factory assembly. You would like to think not, but apparently something happened.
