Is it truly necessary to have a set of gears with an MS3?

Well im running the MS3 and i would say to get the full use of the cam you will need gears. If i take off from a dig or from a slow roll, my car doesn't seem that impressive since i don't got the gears to get me up into the rpms fast enough. From a higher roll it looks like a cammed car, it pulls up to 6700rpms with no sign of letting down. But i will be getting a rear with gears in the near future so i can really have some fun with the MS3.
