Default Arp head stud question

installing arp head studs into a 347 forged engine. I have read threads on here but none of them are clear. Do you torque the stud by allen head to 65ft lbs or do you just screw them down hand tight then install the head and torque the nutts only to 20, then 40, then 65ft lbs x3?????

just double checking.

Here is a good write up on how to install the head studs. I used it when I installed mine.

DONOT torgue the studs in the block. They go in hand tight. ARP will tell you the same. The only thing that gets torqued is the nut that goes on the stud.

+1 for this answer! studs go in finger tight, then nuts get torqued!

Actually, I think the instructions say to hand tighten the studs into the block, then back them out a quarter or eight of a turn.
