except I think you need to drill a hole for the alternator for the f-body configuration.

i havent done a dyno, but i did this and love it. i put in a 224/230 .583/.591 114 with stock exhaust. it is easy to roast the tires all the way down the street. i did not drill the hole for the alt. and it hasnt given a problem. just remember that most sensors are different in case any come with it.

Car Craft did an article on the 6.0L LQ9 a few months back. I believe the setup was a GM Hot Cam, carb & intake, and headers. Strapped to an engine dyno they claimed the setup put down around 550HP. Very interesting.....

Can anyone confirm my info? I can't find the magazine article and am going off of memory.

I am pretty sure they put the GM heads on it, is it L92 or L79. This shows you how much I know about LS engines. I do remember the article though.

You are right!!! Thanks for refreshing my memory. The stock-headed hot-cammed version made around 485HP - the 550HP rendition was made by slapping a set of L92 heads on it. Thanks!
