Cam Cruising?...
Just out of curiosity (dont flame me for asking about MPG)...what will my long hauls be like with a cam? Will my economy take a monster dive, or only a little one? Strictly talking about cruise control type drives at 70mph..what types of MPG are Cam guys getting? I will have cam only w/mods in sig. Cam will be a 231/237 592/603 111.5lsa

mmhmm well you have a stalled auto, whats your RPM's @ 70? RPM's and the given tune for the most part will dictate your fuel economy, My tuner, on my LT1 auto 383 car set the car up for a lean tune below 3k so while I drive the car ran 14ish to 1 A/F. It doesnt need to be 12.8 all the time, only under WOT
The tune would dip perfectly to get that #.
My car went with a smaller cam 14 mpg to around 19-20 just that bigger cam and adjustment.
Also to mention the useual driving normal, using the cruise, taking out all unesscary weight will help you.
Oh and before I forget, my car when I started was 3.42's, revved 1.5k @ 70 and with 4.11's its about 2100, over 100's of miles it does make a diff.

We've got almost the exact same setup and get about the same mileage. 27-28 @ 70mph including a some "jolts" That's with the 3.89s in the Ford 9", 17x9 ZR1s, and C5 brakes up front and a 3" steel driveshaft.
Last year I knocked down 32mpg with the stock 3.42s/10-bolt and stock 16x8's on the way back from trapping 118mph Had a bit less rotating weight last year
