this thing is just plain aggrevating. I checked for voltage to injector and it is fine. I checked spark from coil and it is fine. Next step I guess is doing compression test across the spectrum if I can find a loaner tool somewhere.

I run an .055 gap in mine, so that's not likely.

For the p0307: Put a screwdriver(or mechanic's stethescope) on the injector w/ the engine running and see if you can hear it clicking, if not replace the injector w/ a known working one and check again. If the injector still isn't firing you may have a damaged wire or bad injector driver in the PCM. If the original injector is clicking pull the spark plug out of that cylinder too see if you are getting fuel. If not replace w/ a good injector and test again. If this test shows you are getting fuel and you have spark, that only leaves a lack of compression to kill that cylinder.

For the p0332: Where did you get the knock sensor from and did you replace the harness? I would assume you replaced it because of corrosion, and the harness is usually faulty too.

the coils are fired by the wire's that plug into them

either side rack of coil's will work on either side. But the wire's need to be plugged in on the proper side. and in most case's they are not long enough to reach the opp side.

Dead cylinder caused by(drum roll please).....rings. I am screwed glued and tattooed! Cannot afford to repair, and do not want to work on this piece of junk anymore. If I didn't still owe $5000 on it I would sell it on eBay to the highest bidder just to get rid of it.

The 98 coils bolt directly to the valve cover, not a bracket. When you take them off the only thing holding them together is the harness. I assure you they can and have been put on wrong. Not on the wrong side, but backwards on the same side they are taken off of. He already said in this post that he tried reversing the coils and it ran worse. I wonder how he did that if you say it can't be done? Hmmmm..

I'm sorry to hear that. Are you sure its not a valve that isn't sealing? A valve job is not that expensive, there may still be hope. Did you do a leakdown test or just compression?
