Default Anyone used the LS7 rockers in an LS1?

I have a 98 Z28 LS1. I am looking to upgrade to a set of 1.8 rockers. Someone suggested Cranes, but they are pretty expensive. Somebody else suggested comperable gains from the LS7 rockers.

If anyone has real world experiance that would be great. You can look at my link in the sig to see mods. I am looking for the best bang for the buck, that doesnt require any other modifications to make work. Or if it does, not much.

So what is the word on these?

The don't work, the contact point is out towards the exhaust side of the valve stem.

OK not Cadilac performance. That is the lifters. I am talking about LS7 rockers. You can use all 16 intakes, or all 16 exhausts, not sure which. I was just wondering if anyone had done it, and if so how did it work out.

There the same design as the stockers. With the exception of the exhuast (I think) being offset. I havent heard of anything new from GMPP.

That is what I am finding. The guy that tuned my car seems to think they will get me a few horseys. I am about 10 off my goal, and I am thinking these with the underdrive pulley will give me that. They guy that did my heads and cam think the Crane accelerated lifts will get me over 17hp. He claims real world numbers from a couple differant cars he owns or worked on. Then I get other people saying to just go with the LS7 rockers and I will get nearly that.

Any other ideas short of stroking or bigger displacement?

You can pick up a set of comp pro mags in the FS section for cheap. They're good rockers and a step up from stock. That with an UD pulley should be a solid 10rwhp.

I havent found any comp pro mags for sale. Will the LS7 1.8s work? If so do I need the exhaust or intake rockers? Does anyone know for sure? I figure for the $160 it will be worth it to try. I have to replace the valve seals anyway, so I figure while I have it apart, so no extra labor.
