I'd give the comp cams a gander. I bought mine from slowhawk for 320 brand new. Look over the forsale section and see what you can find. I made 390rwhp with stall or tranny issues that I haven't figured had time to look at yet.

People need to realize that if they have an 01-02 car, their car is already equipped with an LS6 Pump. What you could do is port the pump yourself to have a Ported LS6 Pump. I chose to go with the Melling Pump because it creates more volume with the larger gears. If you really wanna be cheap, then port your own pump and use an LS2 Chain.

well i just got off the phone with thunder racing and picked this up. how will that work out?????

99-TR230/236-112 Thunder Racing Custom Camshaft
"Split Pattern" - 230/236 .592/.602 112 LSA 2400-6800 RPM Power Band. Excellent mid-range & high RPM power. 3200+ stall, 3.42+ gear, computer tuning required. Due to the fast ramp rate of this camshaft, the use of 1.8 rockers is not recommended.

I thought the valve springs were good to .650.....but I think I remember you posting somewhere that they're only good to .600.....just checking, because that cam is too much for .600 springs

You could get this at Lingenfelter.com for 129.99 plus free shipping.

Good budget Timing Chain: JWIS Double-Roller from NewEraPerformanceParts.com. This can be had for 99.99.

Good Luck

i thought the high performance melling pump came with the high pressure spring already installed???

any reason you say not to put in the high pressure spring?
