Default Are ls1's supose to idle higher on start up for warm up?

Cause mine does not. On a cold start up, it starts perfect but falls between 500 to 700 on idle before it warms up, then its idels good at 850 or so. I know this isnt hurting anything I was just curious because all my other buddies with ls1's there car actually idles a little high on warm up starts. Is something in my tune maybe? The cam? I was just curiuous and what everyones else car does?

In the PCM as mine came from the factory (manual transmission), on a cold startup, it idles around 1000, and falls to 800 as it warms up. I don't have the exact engine coolant temp numbers in front of me, but it is based on the ECT value as to where it idles. Tuning can easily change these RPM values though...

yeah i would say your tune is off...

its supposed to be (lament terms)

Very Cold Start - 1000+ RPM
Warming up - 900-1000 RPM
Warm Idle - 750 RPM

Now you mentioned you have a cam. Then your idle is most likely different from where ever you got it tuned. While it is warming up it may drop down slowly, or sometimes it just warms up and falls to 750. Either way, your RPM's shouldn't be BELOW your idle on warm up.
