Questions for Big cubes

Has anyone in here used the Darton Sleeved LS1 blocks?
Is it worth the $$$?
Is 427 worth it over the 422 or is there problems with one or the other?
What are the 422/427 people using for Injectors? I am thinking of going to the 30# SVO and a GSS340 Fuel pump to push a 427 and a 150 shot. What are the pitfalls I should be aware of? Advise is needed, not just opinions from people that have not done it or seen it

I am serious about building this engine and want to make sure I am not missing something important. Thanks for all the help.

I would run the 36 lb svo's with a 422-427ci motor.

I concur with PSJ, that's what I run in my 427 CID with a Racetronix fuel pump.

ezss has a darton block. if you're doing it yourself (meaning no warantee'd shop support) i'd to with a 402-414cid iron block. just my opinion, though.

darton-sleeves are pricey,,,,irom blocks are cheap but somewhat heavy

EZ & I are both using JPR Darton sleeved blocks. His is done and running, mine is STILL ON ORDER. If I was not smoking the rock the day Joe told me about my motor, Joe does offer a 1 year warranty on the engine. That is a big deal. I am using the TSP offset ground crank 3.822 and the Darton sleeve 4.125 to give me a beautiful 409. Of course it is not the all out strongest, no iron block, no Lunati or Callies forged crank, but I feel safe using these parts. My car is xtra heavy now, so an iron block would only hurt me more. U shouild give JPR a call and discuss some options with him. Bear
