Default Cam for manifolds or shorties, high revs

I've read all of the posts about cams for stock manifolds and shorty headers. I completely understand the effect of valve overlap on how well the engine runs, and why a wide LSA is necessary. However, what I want to know, is what will happen with a low overlap cam at high revs with manifolds or shorties (and cats, of course). For a car with manifolds, will a 228/228 cam on a 114 (0deg overlap) work better above 4000rpm than say the same car with a CheaTR or other negative overlap cam? Remember, I'm not asking about idle quality or off idle grunt, I want to know about high revs.

Thanks, guys.

228/228 114 LSA is 0 Degree overlap. So it will still work well, just be a bit choked, compared to an exhaust biased wide LSA cam

Definately, the exhaust should be longer for that much intake duration without long tubes. To use the CheaTR as a baseline, the 228 to 230 deg exhaust isn't going to be too much difference. But I wondered if the 14 deg extra duration on the intake side would help out much on the top end. Of course, to get that you have to open the intake sooner, which is usually a no-no for cars with manifolds and cats.
