why dont you just make valve releifs in ur pistons. there are tools made for this. You shouldnt need much room, I ran a F13 cam for awhile until it pitted and killed my lifters.

We chased almost every thread inthe block or heads. All bolt threads were cleaned with a wire wheel and then loctite or anti seize applied. The head bolt holes were celaned and vacumed to assure against hydraulicing. All weatherpacks were cleaned and a coat of dielctric grease applied. Every bolt, fitting or fastener that was on from the factory has been connected again.

Tomorrow we should be ready to light it off and heat cycle the springs once before diving in to the rear end.

I'm waiting for my programmed PCM from Jesse at wait4me. I paid for overnight shipping, but got a tracking number from USPS...which means 4-5 days on their 2nd day service. It was scheduled to ship on the 3rd and so far they don't even show it en route.

Well, the forecast is for snow by Friday so the car may not be going anywhere for awhile?

Yes, first H&C on an LS1 and yes we had the LS1Howto with us the entire time, it was very helpful to keep things oerderly.

I will be doing my head swap in the next 2 mos. Any corrections, or things to point out that may not be included on the ls1howto to take note of when doing? Any tricks or things need to know offhand with the install?

also, you said you were using a wire brush and drill to clean the head bolt holes? Which one were you using, and where did you get it? I didn't know they made something that thin and long to fit in a hole like that...?

I'm sure a bore brush from a pistol would fit...
