Default Need cam advice

I've been researching on here for a few months and have finally decided on my cam choice just wanted to get other peoples input and advice before I call them up and order it so let me know what you think. I have a 99 Z28, 3500 stall, Built Auto w/ tranny cooler, ls6 intake, Pacesetter LT, ORY, Hooker CB. I'm looking for 380-400hp but with a stalled auto we all no dyno numbers don't always look good, I would really like to hit 11's with this cam but low low 12's would be fine, I'm running 12.5-12.6 consistently on current mods w/street tires. I also wanted a cam that had good mid and high range power as I've been known to do roll ons, this is also my daily driver. So here's what I've come up with after much deliberation.

Cam Specs:
232/234 .640 .590 112

I will be using Patriot Dual Extremes, hardened pushrods, upgrading to an LS2 timing chain, ASP underdrive pulley, and sdpc gasket set.

From what I've seen this cam(TRak from Thunder Racing) will carry well to upwards of 6800 and make peak somewhere around 6500 but being that I'm an auto I would really like to keep RPM's down making peak more around 6200 carrying to 6500 and shifting at 6300-6500, would getting this ground on a 110 or 111 LSA do this for me? I've also been throwing around the idea of installing Katech rod bolts, but if the stockers would be sufficient at these RPMs I'd much rather keep them because I am already close to going over my budget. Thanks in advance. Any other opinions, advice, input is welcome.

-Jeff

That cam is just a TAD big for a daily driver, but with your setup it will be fine since you will stay higher in the rpm range.. I know someone who has a similiar setup as yourself, and he has the tr 228R cam and ran a 11.9 1/4 mile time..

I forgot to add that you will need to get upgraded rod bolts, it wasn't until 2001 that gm started putting stronger ones on our cars..

Thanks for the advice, I know the cam is on the bigger side for a daily driver but with only a 20 mile commute and stall I'm not to worried about it.

Are the ARP rod bolts worse than Katech's or why the big price gap $100 vs. $200? I may be able to swing the extra hundred for the ARP bolts.
