Let me be the 100th person to ask this. What Cam??
Alright.. This ? is asked by many people many times. Everybodys idea of what they want is different and everybodys set up is different.... I am goin to ask for my own interest. What cam should I throw in this winter
Current Power related mods:
Pacesetter Headers
80mm BBK
FIPK
EFI Live (Basic Deletes.. TM, Abuse, EGR, AIR, etc etc
3in ORY with a bullet and dump
Innovate WB
Parts purchased and not installed or to be purchased b4 cam:
3:73s
Weiand Warrior Intake (If Released), LS6 if not
TC matched to cam specs
SFCs
The car is street driven on nice weekends and to the track for some abuse.
What I am looking for is a cam that produces peak power under 6500. A sure tell "cammed" sound. Retains some good tq, but wakes up the LS up high. This is the most important right here.... I am retaining the stock heads till next summer .... I need this cam to be able to do the above w/ the stock heads and be able to work well with the heads I plan to buy (Either TSP or Patriot LS6 heads)... Now that I have proven I am a true "newbie with the LSX".. Tell me to research somemore, flame me and tell me to use the search button... OR... give me some good ol advice.. Thanks guys..

Is there still clearance problems floating around about this cam or has that horse been completely beaten to death?? What about the Trick Flow 228/230 .585/.585? Has anyone used, dynoed or have comments about this cam? Also, With cam, rods, dual springs.. How high can you safely rev on a stock head/bottom end LS1 Autotragic? I can adjust w/ EFI live. Search button tells me that the MS4 likes to go a lil over 6500.. What stall speed would be best for the MS4???
Thats all I can think of right now..

I sent out an email to Thunder Racing today about a custom grind... I'm gonna see what they have to say. I will tell you that the I have a hard on for the MS4, but having something tailored to my needs is prob the "right thing" to do..
