Default what to build?

If any of ya'll saw what happened to my car in the other thread i posted in this section, it's a pretty good guesstimate that my engine is done or has killed the life of it by a pretty big %.

So what I want to do regaurdless of if the expressway authority, or insurance, or myself paying for it, I want to build a motor.

-Budget $5500 or less.
-Power range 400-500rwhp
-Something that would be good for autox and track days (road courses)
-And semi-streetable

I've already got a beater car, I've had money saved to get my tranny built for a while now so thats not included in the budget. Don't know too much about engine internals, so that's why I'm asking here.

Let me know what you think I should do, where to go, and best bang for the $.

stock crank, forged pistons, forged rods, set of 5.3 or ls6 prc heads, cam with required upgrades (ie springs, pushrods), tune, lts, and put the rest of the money into suspension. for an extra $1k you could go stoker with a 4" eagle crank. with the stroker you would have excellent acceleration throughout the entire rpm range.

i already have strano springs, koni SAs, strano 35mm sway bar, LG adjustable panhard, LG adjustable control arms, and spohn sub frame connectors.

my next project was going to be just gettin headers and true duals on, getting the tranny rebuilt (syncros and 3rd were fucked since the day i bought it), fancy up the interior with custom re-upholstered seats and true black carpet with dynomat, got a us exotics outlaw hood, and after all that it was going to be painted.

So now i get to do all of that in the first place and add a powerplant to go with it!

Scat H rods
383 pistons
eagle crank
oil pump
lifters
pushrods
Machine work

I would say at the end of the day you would prob have a total of $2500 in all above parts. Or you could go 347 .

i'd like to buy an assembled engine, with going to two different schools, working, and a control freak girlfriend, I'll most likely only have time to take an engine out and put one in lol.

But just in case, best place to buy those parts? I've always just been into suspension **** and autocrossing, but it's the opportune time to build a motor.
