Default how does your heads exhaust flow affect power?

i have noticed that everyone gets caught up on their heads intake flow numbers and no one seems to pay attention to the exhaust flow. So i was wondering how a higher flowing exhaust port would affect the power the heads make. I have heard that it gives you more torque or midrange but im wondering if that is true.

I am wondering this too. I am looking at a set of Dart heads that flow great on the intake side as cast but weaker than the ported PRC's or patriots on the ehaust side. Don't know any good head porters around here here and no extra $$ anyways. The upside to the Darts are 205cc intake runner wich theoretically provide better velocity and better (thicker deck). Gotta make my mind up soon before everything goes off sale.lol

Quiet, your ideas have merit. You are just hanging around with the wrong folks.

Keep thinking and keep looking around.

well i talked to a local head porter and he said in an na application higher exhaust flow doesn't really improve power much however he said with nitrous it makes a big difference if your heads flow good on the exhaust.

Yeah, I asked this same question, but in more detail, and all I got was crickets.
