Coolant system an "auto-bleeder"?
Is the LS1's coolant system an "auto-bleeder"? ...where it bleeds off the air bubbles/pockets inside the cooling system so you dont have to?

my version of "bleed" is to use the bleeder screw. but I guess your cooling systems didnt come with a bleeder screw

When I was refilling my system I had to start it and leave it running. While it was running i had a funnel stuck into the radiator with a filter pouring coolant into the radiator. While i was filling it up you could see the air bubbles coming out of the radiator where i was pouring it. Once i refilled it with all of the used coolant that came out of it I replaced the cap and cleaned up.

That is good to know. When I changed my t-stat I had to sqeeze the the top hose repeatedly for about thirty minutes and keep adding coolant or it would run hot. Never had to do that on another vehicle. Biggest PITA I've ever dealt with for something so simple. Damn hose got hot!
