I have had the SLP installed for a couple of years with no problems.

Summit now has two SFI certified underdrive pulleys for the GenIII series. One is 25% under and the other is slightly more as the dia. is a little smaller and they cost only $169. I've been using ASP for years with no problems, but my next one will come from Summit unless I start reading about problems with it on LS1Tech.

got a 6speed car, just bought a clutch and flywheel. went with the heavy steel flywheel to help launching w/o bogging. wouldnt a lightweight pulley have the same effect on reving/vs shifting as the flywheel/clutch does? so for dragracing, wouldnt it benefit more to have a steel pulley? I understand less rotating weight = more power and faster rev's, but I want a car thats easy as possible to drag race and the quickest times.
so some advice from those who know the diff. please feel free to add in here. pretty sure we'll be shifting at 6500rpm. +/- 100 rpm.

The mass of the accessory drive pulley is closer to the axis of rotation than a flywheel, so it won't have as much of an impact on launching the car.

I can't speak to whether or not a lighter pulley would have an affect on its vibration damping characteristics...I'll have to dig into my old engineering text books.

is the summit bracket race balancer NOT underdriven? the regular one shows you need new belts with it. the bracket race one doesnt say new belts or mention being underdriven. but it does look very light with the holes drilled in it and looks like alot less material to it.

ASP here.

If you ask me, it doesn't make very much of a difference anyway. I would just stick w/ the stocker for the most cooling power unless you've got a EWP.

They must of just added the bracket balancer, because it wasnt there when I ordered mine. Savages.
