Default what balancer are most of u running??

Just curious what was the most popular one out there. I have yet to buy one for my 402. Is the stocker just not an option?? I probably wont spin it past 6500. I know i will lose some ponies, but how many really?? Has anybody ever heard of peening the crank snout to prevent the pulley from walking?? Lots of questions, i look forward to your feedback and thank you in advance.

I went with the Fluidamper, but it is not installed yet. The only drawback I saw was that it is only 10% underdriven, but hopefully that combined with the light weight of it being that the housing is aluminum will combine to provide the performance enhancements of a 25% under driven one.

I haven't done one yet either, but I'm dead set on the Fluidampner just because to me it will do a better job of dampening resonance. I saw some test a while back, have to find a link.

Would of used the ASP, but got the new style SLP UD pulley because the other was not in stock, not a bad piece since they re-engineered it not to fall apart or cause false knock. Havnt had any issues with it.

March pulley here. It's also not supposed to cause false knock and it has fluid in it. Appears to be well made. With any of them, install is more of a job than you may are expecting if you have never done one.

I run an ASP. Fluidamper did not have an LS1 model out at the time. I fully believe in Fluidamper's design to be superior to most. I've used them on hard run marine SBC's for years with great success. They really cut down on unwanted vibrations and extend bearing life.

I have a powerbond on my car

We have them in stock for $179, same as SLP. Better quality then a ASP, and far above the professional products junk.

Well I can at least vouge that the stocker IS an option,...its what i've got in the car still!!! Haha not for too much longer though, been meaning to get around to upgradin that pulley,...sounds like i'll get an ASP more than likely. I would definitely not be worrying too much about it "walking" though regardless,...you didn't reinstall properly at all if thats the case and should be paying someone to do your upgrades for you.

This is most likely why they have a smaller vote count. The Fluidamper has just released their LS style dampers in the last 1-2 years and they are slightly more expensive than the other alternatives. But you get a much better harmonic control with the fluidamper and as mentioned earlier, the lighter weight should pay just about as much dividend as the extra 15% in underdrive.
