just trying to get a idea.i got some one wanting to trade me a pulled running one for some work.

i'm waiting on the block numbers to see if its a 5.3 or 6.0 engine.i know its missing the intake,coils and valve covers but other then that its a long block.

5.3 and 4.8 engines go for around $300+-. ls1 and 6.0 go for $600 and up depending on miles and condition.

Depends on how used, and what size. I would open it up and take a look inside before you agreed to anything.

is there any differences from the truck model and f-body model LS1? I would be getting the 6.0

the ls1 is aluminum and the truck is iron, unless it were an ssr.

yeah i am going to go threw it and check it out and so on.

5.3 is a iron block ls1.the 6.0 is a iron 4" bore block

The 5.3 is not an LS1. The LS1 is 5.7L

no its not, the 5.3 can be bored out to the ls1 size though.
