Cam selection for stage 1, stock stalled car...
I'm trying to get everything set for my dad whose got a 98 LS1 he's putting in his 94 silverado. I think he's either running a 4l60 or 4l65 trans with a stock stall in it. He also getting TEA stage 1 heads to run on it with bolt on's. He's looking for a very streeable, mild, DD cam for it, I was thinking either Z06 cam or a TR220 or similar, anyone have any other ideas?

Two things to consider:
1) stock stall limits the idle speed that you can use. 800 rpm on the stock stall gets a bit tiring in town. You want somthing that will idle at 650 - 700 rpm with an idle quality you want (smooth, slight chop, or paint shaker)
2) If you want any acceleration from off the line, you need a cam designed for low end torque since you are not getting help from the stall. Is this for off the line use or rolling around town.
Without input from you on these two consideration, its hard to make an informed recommendation.
