flycutting gives you room for valves opening (i.e. your cam is so big in lift AND duration that the valves are hitting pistons). it does lower compression slightly. most valverelief's are between like 2cc and 5cc I think.

well, your compression will vary, depending on your head/pistion combo. mine w/ .030 milled heads and -.2cc valve reliefs came out to ~11.2:1
thats w/ a 6.0 metal head gasket.
flycut pistions wont lower the cubic inches any, but you will need a/m pistions with a .030 over block anyway.
