198 including shipping for the Lindy cutters (intake and exhaust and 1 guide rod/collar). They work great. I just finished cutting my pistons with them. The cuts came out smooth. I was very impressed with them.

Good luck to the OP with the development of your cutters.

I don't think we should discourage the guy. If he can make a tool that does the same job cheaper that's good for everyone.

yeah i am saying $90 for a set int and exh . If i can get some cheap valve's even used i can do it for way less.If someone sent me a set of valves i could send them back done for $40 buck's. but when i have to pay $30 to get 1 valve from summit i need to add that.

Like i said i am not trying to make money but provide a cheaper way to fly cut . and i am damn close right now.

I am sending a set to bill bowling for free .

I just have to get it right.but i am real close . I could make say 10 sets and then rent them for $30 plus shipping. I am in this as a car guy to help a car guy.

that is my goal

Not trying to discourage. It looks like Quick346 has alot of momentum going on this. I look forward to reading some feedback from Bill.

Look to get some valves from Competition Products or one of the vendors that advertise here. Summit is too expensive.

What advantage do these valves have over stock? What exactly does the flycut do?

These valves are only used to cut the top of your piston to increase the piston to valve clearence. This is only needed sometimes when you change to another cam or change heads, etc.

Oh, so you wouldn't you wouldn't actually use those as your valves. You just use them to cut into your piston so your actual valve will have better clearance?

they're used for a tool to cut the piston not as a valve and yes so you will have more piston to valve clearance.

does it have to be a stainless valve or could you use stock valves to make the tool? I have 8 stock intake valves if that would work.

I've Mig welded to a stock valves to make DIY cutters. Never had any problem with the welding.
