Ok well I got the rest of the parts I need for my cam install, well I thought anyways. I messed up the part numbers for the valve seals. I allready placed an order for the right ones (GM 12457652), but I am curious if the 2001+ valve seals with the seat (GM 12482062) on will work on older LS1's. I tried a search, but nothing came up. I'm pretty sure you can't but was just wondering and this could maybe help other people down the road. Thanks.

I wouldn't see why not, unless you are not running a beehive spring in which case a different seat would be required. I think it was more of a cost cutting move on GM's part more than anything.
