Default TEA 1.5 5.3 heads flow more than Stage II 5.3 heads?

According to TEAs webpage, their 1.5 5.3 heads flow more than the Stage II 5.3 heads. So, why pay more for less flow??

its in the exhaust vavles...1.5 uses OEM valves...S2 uses Stainless valves which a better for power adder application (I have seriously pitted OEM exhaust valves in the past when I was spraying)

- Exhaust ----Intake
.100----51.7----70.2
.200----111.2---138.6
.300----167.6---201.1
.400----216.3---250.9
.500----248.0---282.5
.550----258.5---294.5
.600----265.6---302.2

those were my 1.5's

its really no need to go with the stage 2's unless you want boost or spray.

How happy are you with the 1.5s 98TAauto? I'm thinking about getting them or a 12-bolt. Thats assuming I can sell some stuff.

Quick: I still cant get the grin off my face. I noticed a butt-o-meter difference after the heads, but I really felt a big difference after i had a friend tune the car in!

i mean im hoping to go 11.0-11.2's with them and it damn sure feels alot stronger

i havent had the car on the dyno yet though, but Larry01z28 pulled 435hp with those heads and a 224/224 112 cam! Full bolt on car and the same tuning I got.

put a 230/224 or so cam in his car and those numbers woulda been 440+! Same as GTP and other big name stage 2 heads

few pics: http://www.slowls1.com/tea.htm
also, im praying my 10 bolt likes me alot! HAHAHAH
but for 1470 bucks I couldnt beat them

It's just the exhaust valve that is oem. We are using it in our c5. We plan to spray 200-250 on it and I think it will be fine. If you want to spray 300+ or run 18lbs of boost then go with the stage 2.

Brent, you heads suck!! HAHAHHA j/king

I think my GF is jealous again cause I cant stay outta my garage with the car LMAO

Quick: I debated the 12bolt or heads for a while, but as long as my 10bolt has held im not yanking it out till she blows. If it does, im putting another 10bolt back in also
get the TEA heads if you are thinking about it. Call Brent

FYI, the 150 shot I used to run chewed up my exhaust valves pretty good (pitting bad on the valve seats)

My stock exhaust valve shattered into little pieces on a 175 shot...chunked up my piston, valve seats, combustion chamber, and scored the cylinder walls...now i have T.E.A. S2 head's and no problems on the bottle..i'm happy....I was going to go with 1.5's but after the tragedy with the stock heads...i would rather have stainless steel valves ANY day..so i got S2 5.3's.

I saw Fireball's set-up when he pulled it apart and the nitrous had chewed it up. If you are going to spray, spend the few extra bucks and get the better valves.
