3.185 stroke
Daytona Prototype LS engines are limited to basically stock 5.7 L bores and 5.0L total displacement. That makes a 3.185 stroke just about right. At their 7100 rpm rules limit, that is a fairly lazy mean piston speed of 3770 ft/min.
I suggest that these cars are definitely a fun drive! They race for 24 hours at Daytona later in January.
When Cadillac first went racing with the CTS they used a 5.7L version of the LS7 engine. The 3.185 stroke would also have worked here with a 4.165/4.175 bore. The eventually had to revert to the LS6 engine. In either case above, a used 3.185 crank might have MANY rpm cycles on it. Caveat emptor.
