Default Big cam for stock cubes????

I looking at MMS stage 3 blower cam for my stock displacement forged motor with heads, but with nitrous instead of a blower. The specs are 233/244 115LDA and .578"/.602" lift. The motor will have over 11:1 compression. Will this cam be streetable enough for weekend cruise? I am hoping for max power with a hyd cam and stock cubes. I know I have seen a video of Thunder Racing's Reverse Split cam with 230 intake duration but they use a 111LDA which would make to motor idle lopey. Anyone else with similar parts?

As long as you have valve reliefs and good tuning. I see no problem.. I have a big cam, but not that big on the exhaust side.. I cruise around every weekend and do not have any issues. I have 4.10's and still get 26mpg on the highway..

LDA? do u mean LSA?? a cam THAT big on a 115LSA would be good in a 388 motor... it will peak around 7000 in a 346 with heads... wonder how smooth it would be tho??

LDA = Lobe Displacement Angle. Same Difference. That is peak I want. With a big shot of nitrous, the peak will move lower in rpms so I won't have to rev it past 7K.

I looking at MMS stage 3 blower cam for my stock displacement FORGED motor with heads, but with nitrous instead of a blower.
A 112 LDA will make the idle choppy and the split duration isn't wide enough

I deleted it. I read your post too fast, and didn't realized you were wanting the cam for a forged internal motor. With that done, it shouldn't be a problem spinning to the 7k mark as long as you're properly set up (fuel/tuning). A 112 LSA cam isn't too harsh running through a full exhaust though. All depends on where in the band you want your power I guess. Best of luck with the combo. Make sure to keep us up to date on how it turns out!

Just because its on a 115LSA dosent really mean that it will idle smoother than the TR230. With all that duration, I wouldnt be supprised if it idles just like it.

Well still, I want the wider LSA to keep the unburned nitrous from going out the exhaust. And with wider LSA's, it has shown to smooth out the idle of the same duration. I am not saying it will idle like stock, but it will be alittle better than a 111LSA. I

I ran a 236/240//111 a few years ago and it loped but idled fine after it was warmed up.

I also ran a 232/232//116 a long time ago and it idled like a B1.
