I aim a hose at my engine bay when i clean it off- you're fine. Knock sensors go bad even with regular use....think about when you drive in a rainstorm.....water gets thrown everywhere. GM actually does hosedown tests on cars too.

I've done the engine bay cleaning every summer for the last 3 years, and zero problems!

The risk of rusting the knock sensors is all the more reason to fire that puppy up ASAP and let it run for a good while. Let the engine get good and hot and it will evaporate all that water so that it doesn't cause any corrosion.
