I actually think 470ish is going to be my guess as well, but better yet, Im actually wondering what the torque will be.... I'm hoping the lack of compression (about 10.9:1, I think) wont hurt the performance too much.

Yeah, I will look into the Edelbrock pump. I think its actually advertised in the new GMHTP.

No results yet. I am having my buddy finish up the tuning end of it right now. I am hoping it will be ready tomorrow though... so anxious.

I suppose the 160 stat and fan reprogramming have a bit to do with it too, but the Meziere is a quality piece of equipment. 2 yr warranty to boot. When coupled with the asp u/d pully gas mileage on the highway should go up 2-5 mpg when the cruise is set at 80 in 6th. Just thought I'd add that little benefit.

3/8/08 you were finishing up tuning ??? Where's the results already ??

Hate to be the bearer of bad news but your lower compression ratio will have an effect, so don't be surprised if you have less then expected torque numbers. I see your combo putting out 475 rwhp 415 rwtq. FWIW I hope you do 500 rwhp and 450+ rwtq, but my guess is being realistic. Good luck.

Yeah I don't understand why you would build an engine like this and run 10.9:1 compression. That is going to take it down from an awesome combo to a great combo. Are the heads milled? I'm running 12:1 compression on the stock shortblock and it will run all day on 89 octane. I use 93 just because its only $1.60 more for a fill up but still, you should bump that compression up some and take full advantage of that H/C combo.

1 point of compression on your setup is worth a conservative 15-18 horsepower. Probably more.

No way are you running 12 to 1 compression with 89 octane unless you are running some very cold plugs to prevent early detonation in the cylinders or have some down syndrome timing numbers (retarded, meant to be a pun) LOL.

Not trying to **** in your cheerios bro, but could you please explain how you run 89 octane with such a high compression motor ?? Thanks in advance.

I replied to your PM. Compression is like 11.8 or 11.9:1. Heads are milled to 58CC. I had to run it on 89 octane once about 2 weeks ago and it ran fine. No detonation and it didn't seem to lose any power (knock retard). I didn't mean for it to sound like I purposely put 89 in all the time. I still run 93 because there is no reason to chance it. The car needs to be retuned and I don't know what the timing is. I believe it has TR6 plugs. The tune seems fine except that it is running rich. Very rich at idle, not as bad when the rpms go up.

I was under the impression that maybe your air to fuel was real rich across the board for safety.

No problem. I will post more when I get the information, but right now, I am working CRAZY hours, and havent got to do anything with the car lately.(also, it was backed into the other night and now I have the car in the body shop...lol. I wonder how they like pulling that thing into the paint booth...)

I will post numbers and such as soon as I get them. Thanks for the interest though!

Nice build, What about fuel delivery? I would run a return fuel system with AFPR at rail.
