Default HELP!!!! Engine Surging PRoblems

i have a Stock 99 SS Camaro and nothing has ever been wrong it has 65,000 miles it runs fine while im driving but when i stop and run at idle it dips down on rpm and surges and when i go to start it stutters can you tell me what it is??? EGR ?o2 sens?

Sometimes if your Mass air meter is bad then it will surge like that. It will either idle really high or barely run when your meter is bad

You could also try and clean your MAF.

maf , mass , i hear egr , now someone is telling me about seafoam?? what the hell lol thank you guys ANYONE ELSE HAVE ANY SUGGESTIONS

It needs to be plugged into a tech II and the codes read..if it is running like that there will be codes to be read...that will tell you what you want to know..better to work from a position of knowedge than to just start throwing parts at it..

mine did the same thing on cold starts and i found out it was a bad egr seal where it goes on the manifold.

Scan it. In addition to the possibles above, It could also be MAP sensor going bad or the rubber seal on the MAP sensor has dried out. MAP sensor is in the back of the intake.

It can be almost any sensor. It can be the fuel pump voltage. It can be a bad tune. It can be bad injectors. We can go on all day. I say get it scanned and if you can't do that start w/ the obvious and process of elimination.

alright i will get it scanned, also all of these things you are talking about are these all possibly expensive problems lol?
