Default Ok think I got my cam picked out

Just want some more opinions on this. This will be a cam only car at least until the power bug bites. Mods are ported TB, ls6 intake, qtps, prolly going to run TD's but its a LM1 for now. The cam I picked is a 228/230 .571/.573 on a 112. I think this cam should be pretty good for the application, what do you guys think. Also car is an auto so I'm thinkin a yank3200 with this.

Dont forget springs and pushrods... If you have extra cash, throw some 3:73s in as well..

Sounds like you got alot of work to do.

Go SS3600. I think you will regret it if you don't.

Oh I wont forget. I'm going to do the cam, timing chain, oil pump, springs, pushrods, rockers, and possibly lifters. I don't know on the lifters yet tho, is it worth it? I don't plan on a gear swap.

You will have to pull your heads if you are goin to do lifters...

If that was in your plans to begin with, then put some caddy lifters in there.

IMO.. If you are going to change the lifters, I would save up and slap some better heads on. thats what I ended up doing as I had ~95, 000 miles on them and said why not, its cheap insurance.
