Default Changing Cams

Im considering changing cams for more mid-range power, but Im up in the air.

Hopefully someone can help.

I know there are thousands of threads about this, but my thread is the most important.

I'm pretty sure all the cams in your poll will give you less midrange and more top end. What is the combustion chamber volume of your heads?

For more mid-range torque over the cam you have, you'll typically want a cam with an earlier intake valve closing point and a later exhaust valve opening point. Think narrower LSA and possibly less duration.

And I want my girlfriend to look like Pamela Anderson and $w@!!&w like Jenna Jameson!! Your cams listed all tend to be high rpm cams and I doubt you'll like them any better than a v2. Maybe try advancing your timing 2-4 degrees to bring your power band down a little.

If you want a bigger cam than you have, and will have some midrange, go with an LG Motorsports G5X2 or Futral F14. Both are proven cams that have a nice sound, especially the F14.

Im with MoeZ28, I am for Futral Motorsports cams. F13-F14. But I would give them a call and explain what you are looking for and your setup. Good Luck

Vindicator you state is too big but you expect a g5x4 or Trex to fit?
