I just spent 1300 on rods, piston, and rings. Im still about to drop another 2,200 on bearings , studs, machine work, ect... and then another grand on headers. this is for a forged stock crank 347, dont plan on 2k doing anything for you now, you will eat that up just in your rotating assy. and thats not including bearings, and all the other tuff you gotta have that adds up really quick.

your getting WAY ahead of yourself right now,

you just gotta do the bolt ons first. then worry about heads and cam, internals....

ive been building up this car slowly for the since the day i bought it, october23, 2005.
i just TODAY got to a point where i could truly get the full benfits of an H/C package. just save up, do it right and PLEASE do research...

I was told chassis and suspension first so I must have $2500 in to just that. Then there is the rear end issue and a new 12 bolt is in that $2K range. I would do these prior to building the motor.

when it blows it blows
then i will address that issue
and i wont be doing any road course type driving so the stock suspension will be ok for the time being

ok, ive been reading this and not to be a dick, but please read read read and read. with 2k i would do full exhaust and a nice set of mt radials. thats gonna be over a grand and then i would just save.

what you said about suspension is completely wrong. suspension is some of my first couple mods and trust me they ARE needed.

ive got around 4-5k in my set up and im no where near where i want to be. if you want some quick hoursepower i would do nitrous and then cam later on.

Im just gonna get the car first
then go with hood and some subwoofers

then start on the rest
and money is the biggest hold back at the moment
so prolly about every few months i will splurge on mods and spend a few weeks driving my familys backup blazer

What do you recomend suspension wise that needs to be done first?
i DONT want to lower it
i hate scraping and the path to and from school and damn speed HUMPs

with that subwoofer and hood comment i dont think you are ready to start modding beyond basic bolt ons.... as i stated before i think you should read a lot more before looking into anything else.

just because you do suspension doesnt meen the car lowers. it will help bring the power to the ground.

id do lca's, they dont change ride height, and allow you to hook from a stop better.

then do subframe connectors. just strengthen the body so when you put that $1000 383 in there it wont twist the frame in two

but i just wish i could get a 6 speed auto
