haha...well it depends what you do to it besides the stroker and what you do for a cr...my setup is making 430hp and 475tq but thats 9.1 compression no blower or nitrous..i kno a guy with a 10.1 cr thats running 450hp and 515tq with a mild cam and not so good heads..its really about the motor who knows...you will prolly be looking at numbers close to those 2...but along with all this hp u need a car that will support it.i got a mear 55k into mine already but im ready for that turbo i have been long waiting for...and i can see that 800rwhp coming up soon.either way hope that helps

Well you were saying you weren't even sure about headers right away so I assumed you might be on a tight budget. If that's not the case, then spring for the FAST intake.
If on a budget, just use a LS6 for now and spend the money on a good shortbock, heads, cam, exhaust, etc. The LS6 intake and throttle body won't cost you much horsepower at the 450hp level.
In other words, the bigger intake may gain you 10-20 hp. The heads and cam will be worth 50-100 hp depending on your choice. After you pass the 450-500hp mark, the intake really begins to be a restriction. Headers are a must, period.

like said above, if you are going to do it... do it right. You have to have headers, but if you are gonna spend the time and money to stroke it, you might as well put a decent cam in it and some good flowing heads. then you gotta look at the drivetrain too, cause the stock drive train (depending on how hard you are on it) ain't gonna last long.

486 / 462 is what I am currently putting down. The heads and cam will determine the powerband and torque. For more torque use a smaller cc intake runner.

Stroker kits run about $1000 im guessing
and i dont want to spend much more than $2000 on the engine at first
this will be my college car afterall and as of right now im a lil short on cash
how much do a good set of headers run?
how much hp/tq can the stock rear take?

As far as the stock rear, the results vary, but I wouldn't push it past 500 hp, especially if it is an M6. Especially if this thing gets some sticky tires. That right there would be game over for that 10 bolt.

and how much are a good set of heads that keep the compression relatively low
10.5:1 is about the highest i want to go
