Default TR 224 or TSP 224???

Here is the link to the other thread I started, I guess I should have started it here instead.

I know's it's been beaten by a stick already but just asking opinions of the wiser!

A friend of mine put down 380rwhp with a TR224, STOCK HEADS, LS6 intake, Jet Hot longtubes, and a borla catback.

I think that is pretty good for a little baby cam.

I installed 224/224 .581/.581 on 112LSA. With bolt ons we pulled 393rwhp. It pulls hard and I really like it. It is very driveable and has nice lope to it.

Get a quarter, write TSP and TR on the sides and flip it. It's a toss up. Really no noticeable difference. TSP used Comp XER lobes while TR's are their own but Comp still grinds the cam. TR's lobe is a tad less aggressive than the XER.

It looks like you have about the same setup I SHOULD have by the middle of summer.

Have you gotten a chance to road race it?

I'm having the 224r put in my car right now... it should be a whole different animal with the heads, new intake/exhaust and a few other mods...

I had a tr224 114, Jet Hot LTs, UDP, LID, with tuning and did 399rwhp. On Nitto DRs I did a 12.2 @ 116mph with that cam. I was very impressed and honestly I kind of miss the NA days when I could beat the living hell out of it and not worry about the big POP.
